First Khutbah
Verily all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek help from Him and seek His forgiveness, and we seek His protection from the evils of our selves and from the evils of our actions. Whoever Allah guides, then there is no misguidance for him, and whoever is misguided, then there is no guidance for him. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone. He has no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. May Allah send salutations on him and on his family and his companions, and may much peace be upon them.

Thereafter: So fear Allah – servants of Allah – the true fear, for fearing Allah is the pillar of guidance and shunning it is the path of misery.

O Muslims: Allah created the humans and the jinn for His worship, so whoever obeys Him, He promises him Paradise. And whoever disobeys Him, He threatens him with a painful recompense. And reckoning by Him – Glorified is He – is by the weights of atoms. He – Glorified and Majestic – says: “And whosoever does evil equal to the weight of an atom (or a small ant), shall see it.” [Surah Zalzalah: 8]

First Khutbah
All praise be to Allah. All praise be to Allah, the Returner of the seasons and the eids, and the One who makes easy the paths of good so that the servant may be plenty in good and increase. Then all praise be to Allah on what He has legislated, and thanks to Him for the ability He has granted, and virtue to Him for His guidance. To Him is the returning and the turning back. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone. He has no partners and no rivals. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His messenger and the best of servants. May Allah’s salutations, peace and blessings be upon him and on his family and companions, the possessors of guidance, and those who follow them in goodness until the Day of Mutual Talks.

Thereafter:
Then piety – O Muslims – piety: the advice of the prophets, and the ornament of the saints and the best preparation for the Day of Meeting. “O you who believe! Fear Allah and keep your duty to Him. And let every person look to what he has sent forth for the morrow, and fear Allah. Verily, Allah is All-Aware of what you do.” [Hashr: Verse 18]

First Khutbah
Surely all praise is due to Allah. We praise Him, seek help and forgiveness from Him and We seek His protection from the evil of our souls and from our evil deeds. Whoever Allah guides, then there is no misguidance for him and whoever Allah leads astray, then there is no guidance for him. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone. He has no partner. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger. May Allah’s salutations, peace and blessings be on him and on his good, pure family and his companions, the fortunate personalities, and those who came after them and those who follow them in goodness until the Day of Judgement.

Thereafter:

I advise you – O people – and myself to fear Allah. For taqwa is the lifeline and it is a barrier against trials, and with it there is help at the time of hardships and tribulations.

No doubt! Verily the Auliya of Allah (those who believe in Oneness of Allah and fear Him and love Him), no fear shall come upon them nor shall they grieve, Those who believed, and used to fear Allah much For them are glad tidings, in the life of the present world, and in the Hereafter. No change can there be in the Words of Allah, this is indeed the supreme success.” [Yunus; Verse 62 – 64]

O Muslims:

O you patient and steadfast ones – and O you troubled ones! Verily with the long length of night and the aggravation of wounds, optimism is beautified. And in the midst of sadness, tales of solace are wished for. And during pains, hopes are born. And when hardships become severe, and when calamities become widespread, and the evildoer dominates and the victor becomes rare – then the way of Allah in His Quran (is that) before victory there are stories that send hope and liven up the souls and purify them with faith.

 First Khutbah

All praise be to Allah. All praise be to Allah. No praiser can encompass His praise. And the conveyances of praise cannot match up to His power. Glory be to Him, for no worshiper has worshiped Him as He ought to be worshiped, even if he spent his (entire) life devout to Allah, while bowing or prostrating.

All praise to Allah, Great in His Being, extensive in His rule, the Planner of the universe. In His kingdom, the celestial bodies glorify Him and around His throne, the angels glorify Him. “and there is not a thing but (that it) glorifies His praise” [Surah Israa: 44]  For His Countenance is the splendor of Majesty and He is the Beautiful, the One who owns all beauty.

By Allah, if the oceans were ink and the seven heavens and earths were notebooks, they would not suffice in recording His Virtue and His bestowals and it will not convey the explanation of His Greatness and the Uniqueness of His actions.

Allah.. Noble of name, Exalted of description. The heavens and earth and whatever is in them praise Him, and the birds (too), folding in (their wings) and spreading (them). I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, he has no partner: the most truthful of words that the lips (can) utter and the best sentence the mouths (can) say. And I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and messenger, the one who recognizes Allah truly, and relies on Him truthfully, worshiping and serving Him with humility. May Allah’s salutations be on him and his pure family and chosen companions and may Allah send much peace on him.

First Khutbah

All praise be to Allah, great in His Power, Mighty in His Force, All-Knowing of the condition of the slave in private and public. I praise Him on His Decree, the good (of it) and its evil. And I thank Him on pre-ordainment, the sweet of it and its bitter. And I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone. He has no partner. For him are brilliant signs, and from his signs is that the heaven and the earth stand by His Command. And I bear witness that our prophet and master Muhammad – peace be upon him – is His slave and messenger. May Allah send salutations and much peace upon him and on his family and companions.

Thereafter: O you Muslims: Fear Allah as ought to be feared, and hasten towards His Forgiveness and His pleasure, and race towards His mercy and His Paradise, and beware of His anger and the pain of His punishment. Verily Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are the good -doers.

Hasten To Do Good

Sheikh ‘Alee al Hudaify
Rabee ath Thaani 26, 1429 ~ May 2, 2008

All praise is due to Allah.  We praise Allah, and seek His help and guidance.  We turn to Him in repentance and we put all our affairs in His hands.  We seek refuge in Allah from the evil of ourselves and the evil of our bad deeds.  Indeed, whoever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomever Allah allows to fall astray, there is none who can guide him.  I testify that there is no diety worthy of worship except Allah, the one true God who has no partner.  I also testify that Muhammad is Allah’s servant and messenger.  Oh Allah, send your abundant peace and blessing upon your servant and prophet Muhammad, his family, his companions, and whoever follows his guidance until the last day.

Oh servants of Allah, fear Allah so that you please Him.  It is the fear of Allah that purifies hearts and souls and causes you to succeed in the hereafter.  Allah says “...And whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make a way for him to get out.  And He will provide him from (sources) he never could imaginewhosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will make his matter easy for him...and whosoever fears Allâh and keeps his duty to Him, He will expiate from him his sins, and will enlarge his reward.” [Surah Talaaq: Ayaah 2-5]

All praise be to Allah who has revealed the Book to His servant and has not placed therein any crookedness so as to warn of a severe chastisement from Him. And give glad tidings to the righteous believers who do good deeds that they shall have a good reward. [Surah Kahf: Ayaah 1-3] I bear witness that there is no God but Allah, the One True God who has no partner in worship. It is Allah who has honored the children of Adam, carried them on land and sea, provided them with good and pure things, and elevated them above many of His creatures. I bear witness that Muhammad is Allah’s servant and messenger and the best human being. He left us on the right path and only evil people deviate from this path. May Allah’s peace and blessings be upon Muhammad, his family, companions, and those who follow him until the Day of Judgment.

Fellow Muslims, fear Allah and know that He watches over you wherever you are. Surely, nothing in the earth or in the heavens in hidden from Allah. It is He who shaped you in the wombs of your mothers as He pleases. There is no God but Him, the Almighty, the All Wise.
